This last weekend were the Chicago Sprints down in Lincoln Park on the Lagoon. I recently (March 2010) joined the Chicago Rowing Union (CRU) as a new coxswain and this was my third regatta. I coxed (yes, that's a verb) the Men's Open 4 and the Men's Master's 4+, both made up of members from our competitive squad (we have novice, club, and competitive squads). The weather was amazingly gorgeous, although Saturday was very hot, and the water perfect. The squad did very well and made a good showing; Men's Master's 4+ 1000M time was 3:36... Good job boys!
The first pic is our entire team (minus a few peeps and coaches). The second is me and my fellow coxswains, from left to right: Me, Leo, Ernie, and Cameron. The third pic is me with the Men's Master's 4+ boat; in the bow-loaded boat (coxswain in the front) with Bill, Craig, James, and Paulo, left to right. The fourth pic is me leading the team down to the docks... strutting a little. :0)

Thank you to my parents, coworkers, and friends who made it down to watch me this weekend... it meant a lot to me!

Hey, are you actually doing anything helpful in that rowing picture? It looks like you are either fishing or sleeping!
